The USJCA Executive Committee has awarded its 2013 Youth Qualifying spot to Collin Leon. Collin submitted an impressive sailing resume outlining his background in a variety of boats including the J/24 Class. He has crewed for Tim Healy and John Mollicone, winning the 2012 J/24 North Americans and the 2012 J/24 East Coasts. As crew for John, Collin also finished second out of 96 boats at the recent 2012 J/24 Worlds in Rochester, New York. Collin has also previously represented the USJCA as the 2010 J/24 USA Youth Team at Worlds in Malmo, Sweden where he finished 27th of 55 boats. He presently attends Old Dominion University where he is a skipper on its racing team. I know all J/24 members wish Collin and his team the best of luck as they represent the USJCA this year in Howth, Ireland!
