Thirteen J/24s competed in this year’s Kings Day Regatta in Jacksonville, FL, which proved to be a challenging two days of navigating the light air coupled with the current on the St. John’s River. Both days, Race Committee had to abandon racing after the wind shut off. However, they were able to complete three races (two on Saturday and one on Sunday). The winner of the regatta was Michael Quaid from Mallet’s Bay Boat Club sailing Ice Cube USA49. The second place finisher and top District 10 skipper (qualifying for 2019 Worlds) was Seth Rosenthal from Davis Island Yacht Club sailing No Rules USA2502.
