Thank you Fleet 23 and Malletts Bay Boat Club for an exciting weekend of J/24 racing for the District 1/Northeast Regional Championship on September 14-15. Saturday saw racing in the inner bay with breeze of 20 with gusts to 40 and Sunday racing in the outer bay with light and shifty breeze. Teams’ skills and equipment were tested. Congratulations to Carter White, Molly White, Michael McAllister, Chris Lambardo and Ted Wiedeke on You Regatta for their first-place finish, winning the District 1 and Northeast Regional Championship. Bill Fastiggi and his team finished second, securing the Northeast Regional berth for the 2020 Worlds in Poole, UK. John Reynolds and the team of Roxy rounded out the top three.
