Thanks to Peter Fischel for this report: I’d like to report a very fun and successful Southeast Regional Championship and Florida State Championship in Melbourne July 20-21. Though turnout was limited, everyone had a good time, especially the traveling boats. There were 10 boats, including two junior teams, and the racing was tight. All left the regatta feeling that this is a great Class and a fun regatta. Eamonm DeLisser on Main Squeeze won, with Dan Borrer on Team DazeOff and David Noble on HalfAss right on his tail. Race Committee did an exceptional job, even with trying conditions. I look forward to racing my J throughout the southeast next year because of events, competitors and Race Committees like this.
